Just lovely! Humanity's evolution is directed by an interdimensional force, such that humans could be used as containment vessels for beings not accustomed to this universe's laws. Such a cool idea. I wonder though, does "template" refer to a specific human body, like I will need to be a triangular prism's flesh suit? Or by template, that the other beings will use the metaphysical shape of humanity to craft their own vessels, leaving proper humanity to its own devices?
